by HammerTime80 on Oct. 17, 2014
I hope not. Husband hasn't winterized the boat yet so I am hoping not. Wish I could convince him to take me back. Looking forward to ice fishing though. Love open water fishing but love ice fishing more. Good luck to you on Sunday. Hope you catch lots. Keep me posted!!

by Les star on Oct. 17, 2014
Headed back on Sunday are you done for the season Hammertime?

by HammerTime80 on Oct. 16, 2014
Appreciate it. Thanks a bunch :-)

I used floating Live Target dark and light green. I have been casting them to the shore line and retrieving fast to the weed bed. On the weeds twitching it across and then letting it sit still for 15-20seconds on the open spots within the weeds. Then bring back to the boat quickly and watching if they follow it. If they do follow just stop for a few seconds and wait for the attack. When it was windy I could cast on top of the weeds and they would hit but when calm they seemed to spook so i went with the further casts.

When you were using frogs, were you using artificial or live target hallow frog? What colour? Where you using a fast retrieve? I was using a slow hop retrieve, white and yellow live target. I am new using frog lures.

by Les star on Oct. 14, 2014
I did not have much luck yesterday with the frogs either. I'm thinking with it being so calm they were getting spooked. I covered a lot of water and still had the most action at the south end.

by HammerTime80 on Oct. 11, 2014
I had no luck with frogs. Blue seemed to be the colour. Crawfish.

Hooked up and on our way from Regina. Hopefully going to slay them!! What is the vegetation like at this time of the year? Keep you posted.

by Les star on Oct. 10, 2014
It should be fun! I hope to be back down there Monday.

by HammerTime80 on Oct. 7, 2014
Didn't make it out last weekend. Should be out Saturday. Read that docks are in all year? Good to know about the pike. Of course targeting bass. Thanks for the lure tip.

by Les star on Oct. 6, 2014
Made the trip up from Regina yesterday and what a blast!! With the 40-50km wind gusts we had to tuck away close to the banks. The Fish were steady all day at the south end of the lake in the weed beds. Our best action was with weedless rubber frog lures with a steel leader due to the Pike attacking everything. Both docks were in still.

by HammerTime80 on Sep. 29, 2014
Thinking about going up there next weekend? What's the fishing like? Docks out still?

Water level is very high. You can pick up the odd bass, lots of good cover with flooded trees in certain spots. Walleye have been slow.
by Mo Daoud on Jul. 1, 2020
We caught lots of Walleye, just one big mouth bass
